Dr. Elliot credits her three Great Pyrenees dogs with dragging her literally and figuratively away from teaching high school English. Caring for those dogs and meeting inspiring people in the competitive dog show world of conformation and obedience rekindled a childhood dream of being a veterinarian.
Soon after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1997, she began working at Chippens Hill Veterinary Hospital. Her post-graduate certification in acupuncture and chiropractic medicine added additional treatment modalities to her western medical and surgical training. The clients, patients, staff, and other veterinarians at Chippens Hill Veterinary Hospital make her happy to drive to Bristol from Lakeville. When she is at home, she loves hiking with her Australian Shepherd, Brumby, riding her horse, Toby, singing in local classical choral groups, and cooking in the kitchen.
